This raw tusk was not polished or repaired. It was extracted from Siberian permafrost and cleaned. This specimen is good for carving, making knife handles and other projects that involve cutting ivory. This specimen can also be displayed as a collectible item. Its original weight was 19.4 kg (wet ivory). Now the weight is 41.4 lbs (18.75 kg). The tusk should be almost dry by now, as it was uncovered in 2008. Length is 81", diameter is 4.25".
